The OECD's Education and Skills Directorate is an integral part of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development OECD, one of twelve primary areas driving global policy analysis and advice. Under the guidance of Director Andreas Schleicher, this dynamic team ensures strategic oversight and implementation of policies med at improving education systems globally. The Directorate's leadership includes:

How We Operate
The Directorate is managed by four bodies that collectively oversee and execute the organization's initiatives:
Education Policy Committee: This body provides strategic guidance on policy development, ensuring alignment with OECD principles.
Centre for Educational Research and Innovation CERI: CERI specializes in international comparative research, innovation and indicators to foster educational advancements globally.
Programme for International Student Assessment PISA Governing Board: This board oversees the largest global assessment of student performance in mathematics, reading, science, and more.
Programme for Teaching and Learning International Survey TALIS Governing Board: TALIS focuses on teachers' practices, professional development, and school leadership across countries.
